Blog 19: Piggies at Easter

Happy Easter piglets!

Following on from our crazy week that Joe mentioned in the last blog, a week off blogging and a little downtime this week for us Magnards. With Mana enjoying a trip to Japan, the rest of us have a chance to catch our breath and prepare ourselves for our upcoming Roald Dahl tour and recording.

For me, this has and is involving a few other engagements! This coming week sees the start of my involvement in Indomitable Productions' research and development project based on Britten's Canticles, including number III. 'Still Falls the Rain' (written for tenor, horn and piano). I have been warned that as well as playing my horn, this might involve some costumes and acting...! Another recent engagement was a short visit to Paris with the Arch Sinfonia. Not a bad way to earn my keep!

After what will be a busy week for yours truly, Team Pig gets going again this Saturday (2nd April) with a series of workshops at the Royal Opera House for the Welcome Performance of Giselle. Further details at:

For now though, I'm writing to you as the sun sets on Eastbourne beach as I visit family back home. We all look forward to keeping you up to date as things get rolling again after Easter!

Team pig love,

Jon x
